Family Love

My friend Karla and her family from San Antonio, TX had asked me to shoot some photos for them a while ago, in fact I had forgotten we already had agreed on that months ago!

So when I got her call I rushed into the studio to set an appointment.

I had the chance to see her family again after a few years, and meet their beautiful kids and husband.

The photos came out splendid. I am glad I got to make them.

KATYA & ENRIQUE

My colleage and friend Cristina Mendoza asked me to help her to photoshoot in a wedding, a small intimate ceremony and party.

The ceremony took place at the parrish from UCA (University of Central America).

It was simply decorated with beautiful flowers and good taste.

Katya and Enrique make a happy couple, they were surrounded by their loving family.

We wish them the best in the future to come!

Recent Trip to Antigua Guatemala

Antigua Guatemala has a magic of its own, this city was founded during the Spanish colonization, becoming the Capitanía General de Centroamerica or Kingdom of Guatemala. It’s well known for the good preservation of its old architecture dating from the 1500 century.

It is a 6 hour drive from San Salvador, through the capital city of Guatemala. We’ve been going there quite often since childhood.

It’s also a well visited destination for tourists from around the world, their people are really kind and friendly.

A Beautiful Family!

Recently, I had the chance to work for a big crazy loving family!

They were really fun to work with! I really had a good time doing these photos while the kids were making a lot of noise!

Their grandma, her four daughters and her grandchildren gathered along so that I could make these images, they sure showed how much they love each other!

The outcome was simply spectacular!

REGINA & WALTER

Well, this post is kind of belated… these pictures were done in 2016, but there’s a reason for that, I am trying to update my page with most of the work I’ve done, this is my portfolio!

I haven’t been doing wedding photoshoots lately,  not because I don’t want to, they are always fun,  but because I’ve been getting other jobs in the middle and my colleages are busy in other things.

Maybe I’ll do some more further on. We’ll see.

For now, I am just enjoying to see some of my work up on my page.

THE AVELAR HOUSE

My latest project in architecture photography, this was planned for an expo event for the Bienal de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de El Salvador (BAUES 2018).

This house was designed by Architect Juan Carlos Paredes, the concept was planned  integrating social areas where everyone can interact, all spaces are connected and very open, which makes the house a whole living space in itself.

Architect Rodrigo Mayora took care of building it.

The house is located outside San Salvador, and it’s well adapted to the natural landscape surrounding it.

The owners wanted the spaces to have an open feeling and very well integrated, it gives the house a good flow through its different areas.

IN STUDIO WITH MY FRIENDS./ EN EL ESTUDIO CON MIS AMIGOS.

Got requested by my friends Julio & Ryna  to shoot some photos for their professional profiles, they are both architects working on different fields.

Well, the outcome was spectacular since they both were together, making each other laugh made things a lot easier, specially for Ryna.

Here’s a pick of the best photos that came out.

Thank you for trusting my work guys!

WHEN FLYING…

Flying…that feeling!

In spite of our rainy season, it was a good day to take off on a Ultra light plane, I guess it’s the closest feeling to a bird’s flight.

The location is close to the coastline here in El Salvador, where sugar cane and other plants are cultivated.

Most of this area is agricultural, due to its weather which is pretty warm most of the time.

The views from this perspective are just amazing, El Salvador has  a lot to offer, not all things are bad, there are always exceptions to the rules, this is one of them.

A wonderful experience worth to share!

MY FIRST WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT…EVER!

Well, it’s sort of a funny story somehow, my friend Veronica had come from the States with her boyfriend to tie the knot here at Costa del Sol, a popular beach spot here in El Salvador.

Paula y Nina DICIEMBRE 08 219-3

By the time we got to the church, the ceremony was about to start, and Veronica tells me her photographer was a no show,  that’s when I began to see her nervous in a way.

But I used to have a camera in my purse, so that I could get pictures of my kids whenever I wanted -plus, I was already trying to experiment with it in some other fields-, it was a Sony Cibershot.

My hubby had his digital Minolta -unknown model so far- , which also was counted in.

Ok, we were ready to shoot the wedding since there was no official photographer!

The photos didn’t turn out that bad you know, -well, a few others I really didn’t like- but  this experience was just a new thing for me, since improvising was the only thing we could go along with!

Later on, we got thanked for this, we made it part of our wedding present hehe!

It was in December, 2008.
