BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTOSHOOT

If someone ever asked me what I would prefer doing, probably would be documenting concerts, or all the happening in between them, my rock n’ roll heart just pumps for these type of photos.

This time I was hired to do some behind the scenes shots of the recording session of the video from Boneyard, one of the local rock bands here in my country.

I’m totally happy with these photos. The video was done by Juan Carlos Luna.

The song: OFF MY MIND- It totally rocks! You can find it in Youtube https://youtu.be/CJdPnrcKvmk?si=-4aFMFaR_0rkn5s1 and all the other music platforms.

Flor and Manuel’s Lovely Wedding Photoshoot

My friend and colleague Mario Juárez asked me to join to do a photoshoot with him for this wedding, which was a really lovely experience.

This couple, Flor and Manuel, are such lovely people, and you could tell they are the perfect match for each other! I really enjoyed making these photos for them!

I wish for them all the best to come!

MAXINE & ISAIAS

Well, this wedding took a bit longer to come, last year Maxine & Isaias hired my services for their big day, but it had to be postponed because their son arrived sooner than expected – so I did their maternity photos instead-.

Their wedding day arrived, the civil ceremony took place at their family place in Coatepeque Lake, it was a small venue filled with joy and happiness. They make such a beautiful couple!

These are some of the photos from that day.

FUGGA

May you wonder why such a name for starters, well… they used to make my saturday nights so much fun back in the early 90’s at the Malibú, the only bar in this town with a stage to host such events of rock n’ roll!

The best drummer I know, and probably one of the best in Latin America, Gerry Sibrian, gave me a call one of these days, that they were about to get their new song in the air… but they wanted their portraits done by me… Man! I’ll be more than honored!!!

Here’s part of the work I did for them.

MY THING FOR GYMNASTICS

Part of my younger years were spent doing a lot of sports, but I had a thing for gymnastics which I got to practice for six or seven years.

That’s why I felt so happy when I got a call to do a photoshoot before a competition, I was thrilled to do it!

It brought me back to those days when training was hard, so hard you could see your hands peeled off and it didn’t matter, when you get to the point when you challenge your body, when you know you have your limits and still feel the need to try it until you make it right. I must say that gimnastics shaped me a lot into the person I am today.

When I was in there, I felt like if I could I would do it again, then I remembered my physical capacity ain’t the same as it used to…

But it was fun to go back in there with my camera!

EL ÚLTIMO Y NOS VAMOS (THE FAREWELL CONCERT)

This had me with mixed emotions… On one hand, just the thought of being their official photographer through the years, this time having the chance to document their last concert… The very last one.

On the other hand, having the honor of covering their most important venues, being a part of it all through my lens… I feel grateful, and will always be.

The farewell venue happened at the Black Coyote Theater, it felt most like an MTV Unplugged (sort of), but absolutely electrifying! The crowd’s reactions and interactions were just there, it all had me jumping around with my camera while capturing those moments.

Unforgettable.

I specially like to thank my dear friend Aaron Sztarkmann (the greatest bass player there is) for putting such job on my hands and eyes.

And so it all began…
